Position: Program and Partnership Manager – Southern Region
Duty Station: MSD United Way Vietnam Office in Ho Chi Minh City
Expected Starting Date: As soon as possible, tentatively in June or July 2026.

To support MSD UWV in achieving its operational effectiveness, the organization is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program and Partnership Manager, who will be responsible for several areas of work as described below.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Program and Partnership Manager – Southern Region serves as the focal point for managing, coordinating, and developing programs, projects, community events, and partnerships of MSD United Way Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region. This position is responsible for ensuring that all activities are implemented effectively, on schedule, and in alignment with organizational objectives, while maintaining high quality standards, measurable results, and contributing to the expansion of partnerships, resources, and social impact in the Southern region.
SCOPE OF WORK AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Management and Coordination in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern Region
Responsible for the overall project management process, from needs assessment and planning to implementation coordination, monitoring, and evaluation. The primary portfolio focuses on child support, protection, and care projects, including birth registration assistance, legal support for children, nutrition support, healthcare, and education support for disadvantaged children.
- Develop operational plans, budgets, implementation timelines, and staffing plans for programs and projects in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern provinces/cities.
- Coordinate the full project cycle, including needs assessments, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and lessons learned documentation.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure programs align with the strategic directions of MSD United Way Vietnam in the areas of education for development, child protection and development, community health, income mobility, social innovation, and sustainable development.
- Oversee the quality of implementation for projects supporting disadvantaged children, including birth registration assistance, legal aid, nutrition support, healthcare, education, and child protection services.
- Monitor outputs, outcomes, impact indicators, and update project data in accordance with organizational, donor, and partner requirements.
- Identify implementation risks and propose timely mitigation and response measures.
- Partnership Development and Management in the Southern Region
- Build, maintain, and expand a network of partners in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region, including businesses, donors, social organizations, schools, healthcare institutions, government agencies, community groups, and volunteer networks.
- Serve as the focal point for coordinating with partners throughout the design, implementation, monitoring, and communication of project activities.
- Identify and propose new collaboration opportunities aligned with the strategic directions of MSD United Way Vietnam and the needs of local communities.
- Prepare partnership engagement materials, including meeting briefs, minutes of meetings, thank-you letters, progress updates, and follow-up documents after meetings.
- Contribute to the development of partnership models with businesses, including CSR, ESG, corporate volunteering, community sponsorship, cause-related marketing, and resource mobilization campaigns. MSD currently prioritizes fundraising, policy advocacy, and volunteering as key forms of collaboration with businesses and communities.
- Coordination of Events, Community Campaigns, and Resource Mobilization Activities
- Develop plans, budgets, timelines, and staffing arrangements for events, workshops, community festivals, volunteer activities, and fundraising campaigns in the Southern region.
- Coordinate logistics, content, guest management, communications, partners, vendors, and volunteers to ensure events are delivered professionally, safely, and effectively.
- Coordinate the development of key messages, communication materials, visual assets, impact stories, and sponsor benefit deliverables.
- Manage and coordinate community fundraising activities, corporate fundraising initiatives, information booths, volunteer campaigns, and other appropriate resource mobilization models.
- Prepare event reports, evaluate effectiveness, consolidate participant and partner data, monitor costs, compile visual documentation, and capture lessons learned.
- Oversee local operations, data management, and supporting personnel in the Southern region.
- Other Management Responsibilities
- Maintain and update databases of partners, vendors, volunteers, beneficiaries, images, videos, and project documentation in the Southern region.
- Develop and update procedures, templates, and checklists related to event organization, project management, partner engagement, and volunteer management.
- Recruit, orient, coordinate, and supervise interns, volunteers, collaborators, or project support teams for specific activities.
- Coordinate with the Finance and Operations team to ensure documentation, payments, procurement, and financial settlements comply with internal regulations and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor and the Management Board.

Directly Supervises (if applicable): Program Officers, Program Assistants, Online Communications Volunteers/Interns
Authority and Special Representation: In accordance with the organization’s functional matrix.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in development studies, social work, sociology, project management, international relations, communications, business administration, law, education, or other related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, community development, partnership development, CSR/ESG, fundraising, event management, or coordination of social programs.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with non-profit organizations, social enterprises, international organizations, corporations with CSR/ESG programs, schools, or government agencies.
- Knowledge or experience in child rights, education, child protection, community development, SDGs, ESG, or resource mobilization is considered an advantage.
- Technical Skills
- Strong capacity in planning, budget management, timeline coordination, and project results monitoring.
- Strong skills in building, maintaining, and developing multi-stakeholder partnerships.
- Ability to organize events, coordinate logistics, and handle on-site operational issues effectively.
- Strong reporting, information synthesis, documentation preparation, and project communication skills.
- Good command of English for professional use; candidates who can write emails, short reports, and communicate with international partners are preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook Calendar, or project/data management tools is preferred. Proficiency in applying AI technologies and tools in daily work is considered an advantage.
