PRESS RELEASE WATER AMBASSADOR PROGRAM RECEIVES THE COMPANION OF PETERSON CONTROL UNION GROUP

Hanoi, 05.07.2021 – Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD) received the companion and financial support of 12.800 EUR, equivalent to 344,102,400 VND for the Water Ambassador program – Clean water for community from Peterson Control Union group.

Since 2019, Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD) and partners have implemented the annual program “Water Ambassador”. With the message “Clean freshwater – Healthy all year round”, the program aims to build a clean-water system in schools and communities, ensuring hygiene and health for people, especially children in mountainous, rural, and disadvantaged areas in Vietnam.

On the journey to bring clean water to the community, MSD, and the Water Ambassador program are delighted to receive companionship and financial support from Peterson Control Union Group (PCU Group).

Mr. Richard De Boer – Director of Peterson Control Union Vietnam said: “In the series of activities to celebrate our 100th anniversary of Peterson Control Union group, we carry out activities towards sustainable development such as forest planting projects in about 50 countries or large-scale Footprint Challenge. Besides, the Peterson family also donates to community projects, especially social development projects. After considering various projects in Vietnam, taking the necessity and benefits of the Water Ambassador program into account, Peterson Control Union is pleased to accompany MSD and we hope that this project will bring a better life to families in Suoi Giang as well as long-term benefits for the locality”.

Ms. Tran Van Anh – Program Director of MSD shared: “We are very pleased to receive the donation of Peterson Control Union group, and even more delighted when more and more businesses are interested in helping solve community problems in Vietnam. On behalf of the people in Ban Moi village and our CSO partner, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the board of management and staff of Peterson Control Union Family for accompanying us on our journey to bring clean water to disadvantaged and difficult communities. We believe that, with the coordination and cooperation of all parties, the project will be successfully implemented and bring many good results.”

It is expected that the water construction in Ban Moi village will be started at the end of June 2021 and tested and put into use in early September 2021.
