On April 16, 2021, in Hue, the Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD), in collaboration with the Children’s Department – Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, organized a workshop to share the results of the Young Voice in Vietnam Survey Report at Duy Tan Hotel, Hue City. The event is part of the Strengthening capacity of CSOs in Child Right Governance, funded by Save the Children and the Swedish Agency for International Development Cooperation.

The event had the participation of representatives from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province; Representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Phong Dien district; Representatives of the Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights in Hue; Representatives of Center for Rural Development (CRD); The management board, teachers and students of Phong My Secondary School, Thuy Phu Secondary School and Charity Class in Kim Long Ward, Hue.

The workshop introduced 15 outstanding findings of the Young Voice in Vietnam survey and shared the report that was used to consult and develop national programs and policies for children, with the active participation of children. At the same time, the workshop also recorded the statements and opinions of the students on future career issues, school violence, children’s rights in expressing their own opinions, etc.

The series of workshops will continue to be held in cities and provinces: Lao Cai, Hai Phong. Their opinions will be recorded, collected and submitted to develop programs that ensure children’s participation and voice in their own affairs.
