On the afternoon of April 9, 2021, in Tien Giang, the Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD) cooperated with the Children’s Department – Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to conduct a Workshop on Sharing the voices of Vietnam children (Young Voices in Vietnam) at Ngo Van Nhac Secondary and High School.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Tien Giang province; the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Tien Giang province; the Management board, teachers and students from Ngo Van Nhac Secondary School and High School.
The workshop introduced 15 outstanding findings of the Young Voice in Vietnam survey and shared the reporting process that was used to consult and develop national programs and policies for children, with the active participation of children. At the Dialogue session, the students had the opportunity to discuss their concerns and at the same time, the Workshop recorded a lot of their statements and opinions.
The seminar series will continue to be carried out in 4 cities and provinces: Dak Lak, Hue, Lao Cai and Hai Phong. Children's opinions will be collected, recorded and submitted to develop programs that ensure children's participation and voice in their own affairs.
